Hello friends! I hope this day finds you in the best of spirits. I am on cloud nine as I will be off in a few weeks to Paris. I  am so looking forward to spending this time with my sisters.I am so glad that we are now able to do this at the age that we are now, so we can truly enjoy ourselves and have this memory to look back on for years to come as we become the golden girls.. 12 glorious days to see as much as we can  in Paris, Italy, Rome, Germany and Prague and any other place in between. this will be the most awesome vacation. I will have pictures like crazy to share when I get back. Thanks be to  God-for making this possible.

Time to get out and plant flowers and fruit trees. I hope in the next weeks to post whats going on at the Hicks Household. I love taking pictures so I will be posting  some of my new friends, who are peaking out to see a new year. hope you will enjoy. Me and my sisters are planning a Trip to Paris in May, woo- hoo   I   am so excited.

Hello Everyone

The Holiday's are upon us and it's time to be thankful. sometimes I think we forget the true meaning of special days, because everything is so commercial. this Christmas will be a very different holiday for me and my siblings because we lost our father in Aug. He was our last parent to go home to be with Jesus. its very odd to be an orphan . oh my God did I just say that? I didn't realize  I felt that way until now. our lives have changed forever.but we must go on. I for one have decided to spend my Christmas helping others.lately I have been thinking about what  kind of legacy I want to leave behind. I want to be  known as a humanitarian. someone who continually help those in need. most of my life has already been lived this way. because of the way my parents raise us. I really hope that I have made my parents proud of who I have become. I try so hard to always be of help.our humanity is  so important in life. it keeps us centered. so this year lets get back to the basic and just enjoy  playing it forward and thanking God for all my blessings.

Hey Everybody, I'm Back. its been a busy last 2 weeks, But I have finally gotten some things under control. my plans are to blog daily with various information on all thing women. I am getting ready to hit the big 5.0 and I am sure my  views on a lot of things will change.I think I will enjoy my new found freedom. the one thing you will learn about getting older is that age is just a number. you are only as old as you feel. and I feel great..one of my great passions when I was younger was photographer.but when life takes over , you sometimes have to put certain things on the back burner. and that's what I did. but now I have picked up my camera and started taking pictures again. I had forgotten how much I loved it. so occasionally you will see some of my work. (this is one). practice makes perfect. hope you will enjoy.

This week, pray for God to help you understand your own heart. Ask the Lord to bring its wily ways clearly to your attention. Then, as you see how easily your emotions can lead you into trouble, ask for the courage to stop following your heart everywhere it goes.. Give up the impulse to put your happiness first, and place your trust in God and His Word instead. Depend on God to give you a new heart, and to stir your heart to do his will.
